Unlike traditional event vendors, Clavent operates as a consultative partner—leveraging a deep understanding of audiences to design thoughtful experiences and connect organisations with carefully curated executive communities.
At The Ortus Club, you’re never working with just one person.
Behind every Account Manager is a full-circle of teams dedicated to amplifying your project’s impact, from outreach to post-event insights.
An idea sparked in London set the company on its path with a clear mission of revolutionising executive knowledge sharing.
The core insight, championed by co-founders Jess Circi and Samuel Adcock, was simple: when the right audience is brought together, united by common interests, the conversation immediately becomes more candid, impactful, and strategic, making everything else secondary.
Stripping away the unnecessary and sharpening the focus on the calibre of participants, cleared away all distractions to encourage a more purposeful dialogue.
Our very first event with KMC Group held in Sydney at the Park Hyatt hotel, set that tone perfectly!
Our format started getting recognised as the go-to for building influential communities. Our hosts understood that when marketing, sales, and professional development come together, a company’s value proposition gets unavoidably heard and remembered.
We solidified our presence across the APAC region (including cities traditionally complex to engage in like Tokyo and Seoul) particularly for B2B SaaS companies.
Born from a core mission to enable knowledge sharing in a pitch-free environment, these community-based roundtables, quickly cemented our company's strength in facilitating invaluable business connections.
We brought together executives from diverse sectors to explore our hosts' solutions from real estate, BPO, and digital infrastructure with partners such as Savills, Equinix, and Harley Davidson!
We hosted our first event outside of the APAC region with a dinner discussion in London.
This move highlighted our commitment to serving a global audience, mirroring the meaning behind our logo (a boat): helping executives sail through challenges and navigating towards new horizons.
Industry leaders like Zendesk, Palo Alto Networks, and BlackLine trusted us with their conversations and integrated our team as a strategic partner in field marketing.
Our global footprint touched down in North America with a first event in New York City.
A first peer advisory group was established for CIOs based in Manila, highlighting our commitment to sustained and pitch-free collaboration.
We were also honored to have Maria Ressa, who would later be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize, attend one of our events.
Partners such as Crowdstrike, Dunnhumby, Visa, SAP, and Dell, trusted us to gather senior executives for valuable knowledge exchange.
As we celebrated our 100th event, we hosted our first large
scale format event with the Rakuten Viber Asia Summit.
We reimagined the traditional conference with a uniquely branded experience: picture a room teeming with influential speakers, interactive photo booths, captivating performers, and magicians! It was our chance to showcase our attention to detail and our ability to deliver truly memorable events that go beyond mere networking.
We also hosted our first event in Shanghai, China!
Hosts like Snowflake, monday.com, and ServiceNow chose our team to curate experiences that truly stood out.
During the unprecedented challenges of 2020, we pushed the boundaries of creativity, quickly pivoting towards virtual events.
With executives working from home, we put our thinking hats on to curate experiences that would engage through the screen. Think virtual wine tastings and curated hamper box deliveries, ensuring human connection remained triumphant despite physical distances.
This year also saw our first event in South America with a key event in Brazil!
This adaptability and creative mindset earned the trust of partners like Freshworks, Google Chrome, and Cisco, proving its value even in the toughest times.
As lockdowns continued, we started creating a space for
marketing leaders to connect and share insights with a podcast
series. What started with CMO Chats, which soon expanded to
include Field Notes, CTO Chats, and CFO Chats, providing
a platform for executives to share their journeys, what
brought them to their roles and their thoughts on the
challenges faced by their industries.
This year also marked our first event on the African continent!
Our team contimnued curating discussions within the SaaS and FinTech sectors for hosts including Salesforce, PayPal, Adobe, and Workday.
More than just one-off events, this year marked the beginning of our company becoming a long-term strategic partner in marketing, delivering series of impactful events throughout their calendar year. With most continents under our belt, we proved we could deliver meaningful conversations anywhere needed!
We also published The Art of Networking, a guide to hosting
successful corporate roundtables. This wasn't just a guide but
a testament to our commitment to sharing knowledge, designed
to inspire our network to host their own impactful gatherings.
We focused on developing and executing field marketing initiatives for key players in cloud infrastructure and enterprise software, working with Microsoft, AWS, Publicis, and Red Hat and Cloudflare.
Networking was taken to the next level with a truly unique and certainly unpredictable event: an insightful discussion aboard a sailing boat in Singapore with Slack which combined stunning views with cutting-edge conversations.
For companies operating in e-commerce, cybersecurity, and advanced computing, such as Shopify, Dropbox, Fortinet, and Nvidia, our role involved structuring discussions that addressed the specific challenges and opportunities within their markets.
Our dedicated event production team became fully established, allowing us to deliver experiences that extended beyond intimate boardrooms and dining rooms.
We entertained diverse environments for executives to connect and share, from high-stakes golf tournaments to invigorating wellness retreats.
We were proud to curate experiences that prioritised strategic advantage, brand awareness, and growth, solidifying our capacity to deliver on any scale with a signature attention to detail.
We provided targeted event curation for various B2B technology and service providers like A10 Networks, Kyndryl, Recurly, and Superside, focusing on engaging their enterprise and mid-market customer bases.
As the importance of community building continues to rise across all industries, our platform has become a thriving hub for ongoing insights. This year highlights the enduring trust built over time, proving that a decade of learning has forged a legacy of genuine knowledge sharing.
We are incredibly grateful to our network of hosts, participants, moderators, venues, and speakers who recognise our value and take part in our journey! Our hosts, in particular, see us as an integral part of their event strategy, not just for business development, but crucially for client retention and brand awareness.
A fantastic example of this was our Chinese New Year Celebration with Twilio, which beautifully showcased the power of combining meaningful connections with unique experiences.
We're incredibly excited by all the inspiration this has brought for next year, as we continue to take inspiration from the B2C world to elevate the emotional connection of our partners!
Our engagements with Twilio, Alibaba, Fujitsu, and Oracle centred on creating platforms for meaningful exchange.
